DERA D5427/ D5447 Series NVMe SSD is DERA's High performance enterprise product line. These products utilize a Gen3 PCIe interface and are compatible with NVMe 1.3. The application of YMTC 64-layer 3D TLC high-speed flash memory based on the Xtacking architecture provides products with high throughput and IOPS, low latency, and good QoS characteristics. D5427/D5447 Series product line has an efficient firmware architecture which to optimize drive performance and endurance and is available in high capacities up to 7.68TB. The cyclic redundancy checks and end-to-end data path protection improve the product reliability. It features thermal monitoring and protection, SMBus for out-of-band management.


DERA D5427/ D5447 Series are compatible with mainstream OS and virtualization system. The performance meets the requirements of database and virtualization application. DERA D5427/ D5447 try to keep a balance between performance and cost, to help customers to reduce TCO.

The ASIC controller of DERA D5427 NVMe SSD is developed by DERA with software-hardware co-designed methodology. Built-in with many purpose-specific hardware units, the controller enables enterprise-class data integrity, sophisticated NAND flash management, and performance aggregation in a power- efficient way. Equipped with self-developed controller and YMTC enterprise-level high-speed 64-layer 3D TLC Nand flash based on the Xtacking® architecture,orchestrated by the FTL designed at the same pace with the controller, D5427 series deliver reliable and high performance NVMe storage features.
The intense hardware ECC units built in DERA D5427 NVMe SSD throttle errors occurred during accesses to NAND device. DERA D5007 series also implement end-to-end protection on the whole data paths against silent errors, adaptive redundancy protection among independent NAND units, and protection against unexpected power-losses, which are forged into an integrated protection for user data. In addition, DERA D5427 series NVMe SSD constantly sense the temperatures on board once powered on and react in real time accordingly to keep the devices from overheating disasters, decreasing the daily operation complexities.
The FTL algorithm of DERA D5427 NVMe SSD sufficiently anticipate the extreme conditions of highly-intense workloads and workload variations with sophisticated scheduling and controls over front-end I/O demands and FTL backend activities, ensuring a stable performance in all cases. DERA D5427 series NVMe SSD deliver a performance consistency above 90% in significantly heavy random I/O workloads.
